Our gentle reads book group enjoys reading, discussing and sharing a snack on the fourth Friday of each month.  This month we are delving into a book co-written by two Christian ladies. There are 4 books in this series about women who come together through circumstances in their lives that lead them to Evelyn’s boardinghouse .

Summer Reading to Begin May 26!

Our Kick-off Party will be on June 2 at 1 P.M., but you can get started on your reading as soon as school is out!

GRUFFIES Reading Group will meet Friday

Death on Demand is the name of the mystery book store that Annie Laurance inherited from her uncle. She didn’t know a murder would happen in her store and she would be the prime suspect! Come at 1 PM this Friday, April 23, to discuss this latest cozy (?) mystery.

BINGO for a Change!

The Friends of the Linwood Community Library invite you to come and play Family Bingo on Saturday, April 10.  From 4 PM to 7 PM in the community room, you and your family and friends can enjoy bingo and snacks. Come when you can, leave when you must. Bingo cards will be available for a suggested donation of $10. One card may be played for the entire time.  There will be regular bingo and blackout bingo. All prizes have been donated and the proceeds will help the Friends with their goal of changing the Cafe sign into a Library sign for the new building at 19649 Linwood Road.

GRUFFies to Meet Friday

Book Discussion Group

Our evening book group will be discussing People of the Book, a gripping fictional account inspired by a true story. We’ll meet at 6 PM on Monday, March 15.

Annual Meeting Tuesday

The Linwood Community Library Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 7:30 PM.  It is a public meeting held at the library. All residents of Sherman and Reno townships  eighteen and older are eligible to participate.

The Gentle Reads Book Club will meet this Friday (2/26) at 1 PM to talk about The Chocolate Cat Caper by JoAnna Carl and to learn some little known facts about the author of this delicious cozy mystery series.
