Library Staff

Sharon Dodge, Nicole Oelschlaeger, and Kathy Reno work at various times to provide service to the residents of Sherman and Reno townships. You may contact them by calling or sending a fax request to 913-301-3686.  They can all help you renew or reserve an item, or find information that you need.  If you have a question about our newsletter, or want to be sure your community information appears there, Sharon would be your best contact. Nicole coordinates the services for children and teens and conducts preschool storytime each Wednesday morning. Kathy specializes in interlibrary loan requests and assisting with genealogy and local history resources.

Director

Sue Peavy is our director.  She attends meetings, prepares reports, works with the board, purchases new materials, thinks up ways to make the staff’s lives miserable, and in general, oversees everything that goes on at the library. Board Members

The library is governed by a seven member board of trustees. The board meets at the library on the fourth Tuesday at 7 P.M. They represent the interests of the people in our library district.  They adopt library policies, set the library annual budget, and hire the director. All library board meetings are open to the public. Meeting agendas are available at the library prior to each meeting.

The library trustees are:  Kathleen Byrd, Sharon Coatney, Burt Morey, Bruce Nelson, Lynn Shoemaker, Jancy Thomas-Doner, and Marceline Turner.
