The Library’s “Book Discussion Group” will meet tonight at 6:00 PM. We will be reviewing:
There’s no police training stronger than a cop’s instinct. Faith Mitchell’s mother isn’t answering her phone. Her front door is open. There’s a bloodstain above the knob. Her infant daughter is hidden in a shed behind the house. All that the Georgia Bureau of Investigations taught Faith Mitchell goes out the window when she charges into her mother’s house, gun drawn. She sees a man dead in the laundry room. She sees a hostage situation in the bedroom. What she doesn’t see is her mother. When the hostage situation turns deadly, Faith is left with too many questions, not enough answers. To find her mother, she’ll need the help of her partner, Will Trent, and they’ll both need the help of trauma doctor Sara Linton. But Faith isn’t just a cop anymore—she’s a witness. She’s also a suspect.
Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  We are OPEN and here for you.
There have been many books written about this great man and here are just a few:

.
All of us at the Linwood Community Library would like to wish all of you and your families a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Feliz Navidad, Jouex Noel, Happy Kwanzaa, and Happy Holidays for all, no matter which holiday you celebrate. We hope you will have a wonderful time with your families.
.
So that our employees can enjoy their holiday too, the Library will be CLOSEDÂ from Saturday, Dec. 24th, through Monday, Dec. 26th.
We will be OPEN again, on Tuesday, Dec. 27th during our normal working hours.
.
Our Book Discussion Group will meet this Monday, Dec. 19th at 6 P.M.
This month we will be featuring:
There’s Something About Christmas by Debbie Macomber.
Emma Collins has always believed that the world is divided into two kinds of people: those who love fruitcake – and those who don’t. She’s firmly in the second category, so it’s ironic that her fist major assignment for the Puyallup, Washington Examer is a series of articles about . . . fruitcake! Her task is to interview the finalists in a fruitcake recipe contest, and that means traveling around the state.
We hope that once in awhile, you will check out our other pages here on our web-site. They do get changed some-what regulary, (please forgive us if we miss something once in awhile). We will have more information and photographs added to them from time to time too. Have you seen our”About US’, ”Friends” or “Book Club” pages yet; or maybe the “Newsletters” or ”Area History” page? How about our Events page? What about the “City of Linwood”,  ”Library History”, “Services” or “Story Time” pages?   There’s usually something new going on in different areas,  from month to month, and sometimes week to week here at the Linwood Community Library. So have a look around at all of our web pages, and see what might be coming your way soon. . .
Hello everyone,
We just wanted to let you know that the pictures from both of our latest events, the Library’s Fall Harvest Party on Oct. 28th, 2011; and our Take Pictures with Santa Day on Dec. 3rd, 2011 are now on our Facebook “photos” page. We hope you will check them out.Â
.
.
If you are not on Facebook, we hope to have them uploaded to another location soon, that everyone can have access to, in case you’d like copies for your own family members.  Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make both of these great Library and Community based events a wonderful success.
Â
Happy Holidays and Seasons Greetings to all of our friends and customers in the Linwood, Reno and surround areas.
On your special holiday celebration, whether you say Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Felice Navidad, Joy Noel, or whatever you call it; everyone here at the Linwood Community Library (Staff, Library Board, Friends of the Library and the Library Volunteers) would like to wish you all a very merry and happy holiday celebration and season.
